In this all-Beethoven program marking 200 years since the composer’s death, fortepianist Daniel Adam Maltz brings the young composer-pianist back to life on the instrument Beethoven actually knew, played, and composed for — the Viennese fortepiano. Audiences will hear a rare glimpse into Beethoven’s sound world.

Beethoven shows a lighter side of his personality in his Seven Ländler, WoO 11, a collection of traditional folk dances. And, the recently-discovered Ländlerischer Tanz (Ländler-like Dance), is a short work that was hidden in plain sight among Beethoven’s manuscripts for over 230 years.
